paint treated wood forum

Do you have to paint or use contact paper on kitchen cabinets

Cleaning up an older house.In the kitchen cabinets there were 3 layers of 
Whitebellied Hottness
old peeling contact paper... when l peeled it all off, the bare wood is in

very good condition.It does not appear to be treated.Do l have to paint or

i wud at least put a clear sealer,then when completely dry,a
